Medical Care. A New Van. A Future for Our Animals—But Only With Your Help
Help us provide life-saving care, secure critical transportation, and give every animal the future they deserve.
The Animal Orphanage Needs You: $100,000 to Keep Saving Lives
For 35 years, the Animal Orphanage has been a place where hope begins and second chances take root. Thousands of animals have walked through our doors broken, scared, or abandoned and thanks to you, they’ve left healthy, loved, and home.
But today, we are at a critical crossroads. Our six-month financial review makes it clear: without immediate support, the future of our no-kill shelter is at risk. We must raise $100,000—and we must do it now. These funds will stabilize our cash flow, cover essential medical costs, and provide the down payment for a new transport van—an absolute lifeline for the animals who depend on us.
🚐 Why a New Van Matters
Our current transport van has failed. The cost of repairs exceeds its value, leaving us without safe transportation for veterinary visits, adoption events, and supply runs. Without a reliable vehicle, our ability to rescue, care for, and rehome animals is severely compromised. A Ford Transit van, properly outfitted with kennels, will allow us to continue this life-saving work.
🐾 Why Medical Funding Matters
At the Animal Orphanage, every animal deserves a chance to heal, thrive, and find their forever home. Many of the animals in our care require urgent and ongoing medical attention. In 2024 alone, we spent $76,576.17 on medical costs to ensure every animal received the treatment they needed.
Here’s how your donation makes a direct impact:
- Emergency Surgeries: Provide critical care to animals like Rex, who requires ongoing treatment for his thyroid issues.
- Medications & Treatments: Support animals with chronic conditions like arthritis or infections.
- Spay/Neuter Services: Help control overpopulation and prepare animals for adoption.
- Specialized Therapies: Fund stress management and behavioral training programs for animals like Lyric.
💛 Success Stories You Made Possible
- Chestnut the Golden Retriever: Came to us with severe heartworm disease. Thanks to donors, he received life-saving treatment and is now enjoying long walks and endless cuddles in his forever home.
- Weeble the Cat: Born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, Weeble needed medical care and a special forever home. Today, he rules his kingdom with love and plenty of toys.
