Located in Old Town, Maine, The Animal Orphanage is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill animal shelter dedicated to the care of stray and abandoned animals. Hundreds of lost or abandoned animals have found food, shelter, medical treatment and the comfort of a caring staff at The Animal Orphanage. The support and generosity of our donors is essential to our daily operations. We spay or neuter, vaccinate for rabies, distemper and lyme(for dogs), treat for worms, fleas & ticks, blood test for FIV and feline leukemia (for cats) and 4DX blood test (for dogs), as well as microchip all of our animals prior to adoption.
